In Kelantan today there is this trend to open a fast food outlet selling the usual fast food menu like fried chicken, burgers, fries, pizza you know the usual suspect. This place here called Sindibad is one of them. Located just 2 miles from my in-laws' place here in Tanah Merah, I have been wanting to try out the food here since last year.

So tonight I finally managed to give it a try. At first the owner was a little bit offensive when I started taking pictures of his restaurant. Asked in a rather hostile way why I was snapping pictures. I said it was for my blog. First, that's no way to treat your potential customer and second, anything I post online could mean free marketing for your deserted shop you fool. Anyway, I forgive him for his hostility. Perhaps people had been badmouthing his place or something online in the past.

I ordered the chicken burger and fried chicken combo for RM7.50. No silly taxes whatsoever. The food was not really fast cause I waited like 10 minutes for them to arrive. The crispy chicken burger fillet was okay but the fried chicken was exceptionally good. That said they don't have any mashed potatoes when I wanted one and the coleslaw tasted like last week.

Overall I think Sindibad is quite okay la. I think the name is not very creative, the one man show owner is not too friendly but for the price, I think I might just come here again in the future. Think of it as a poor man's KFC.

It's been years since I've last visited this beach. Plenty has changed. Some new improvement like a couple of chalets and a hotel. On the other hand some parts of the beach still as dirty as ever. Sea water too murky and strong to bathe in. Not exactly Port Dickson type.
